1. What Kizupi is

Kizupi is a free, web-based math tutor for children in Grades 1 to 6. It is an educational aid and doesn’t replace school, a teacher or a parent’s judgment.

2. Accounts are for grown-ups

• You must be an adult (18 or older, or the age of majority where you live) to create an account.
• You may add up to four children for whom you are the parent or legal guardian, or for whom you have that person’s permission.
• You are responsible for your account, for the devices you set up for your children, and for keeping your email, PIN and passkeys secure.
• Tell us at hello@kizupi.com if you think someone else is using your account.

3. It’s free

Kizupi costs nothing to use. There are no ads and nothing to buy inside the app, and we don’t ask for payment details. If we ever offer anything paid, it will be optional, clearly labelled and shown only to parents, and it won’t take away what you have without notice.

4. Privacy

How we handle your family’s information is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

5. Using Kizupi well

Please don’t:

• use Kizupi for anything unlawful, or to harm a child;
• try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the security of the service, or access other families’ data;
• use automated tools to scrape or mass-create accounts;
• copy or resell the lessons, characters or artwork.

6. Your family’s content

Your child’s answers and notebook pages belong to your family. You give us permission to store and use them only to run Kizupi for you, as the privacy policy describes. That permission ends when you delete them.

7. Our content

Kizupi, the owl and the animal buddies, the worlds, lessons, problems, voice lines, sounds and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use them to learn with your family. Please don’t copy or distribute them otherwise.

8. About the teaching

• We check every answer with a math engine and review Kizupi’s lines, but mistakes can still happen. If something looks wrong, tell us.
• Speech recognition, spoken voice and translation are automated and can mishear or misspeak. Captions are always shown so you and your child can check.
• Grades, tracks and suggestions are guidance based on practice in Kizupi, not an official assessment.

9. Changes and availability

We keep improving Kizupi and may add, change or remove features. What changed is listed in the changelog. We aim to keep the service running but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account holders first. Continuing to use Kizupi after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts children at risk, and will tell you why unless the law or a child’s safety prevents it. If we ever shut Kizupi down, we will give account holders reasonable notice and a chance to export their data.

11. Disclaimers

Kizupi is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can’t be waived.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Kizupi, and, because the service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to USD 50. This doesn’t limit liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
